Cockle Creek is the most southerly place you can drive in Tasmania, with only ocean and Antarctica beyond. Must make time to go back to see the autumn leaves. The Spiky Bridge near Swansea. Built by convicts in ~1843, the bridge no longer forms part of the highway, but sits off to the side on an older road. It's best known for the 'spikes' protruding from the sides. The purpose of the spikes is unknown but it has been suggested that it was for aesthetics, or that it was to prevent cows from walking off the bridge. NOW & THEN - looking out from the Ross Bridge
